The cities of La Rochelle and Nantes visited Terrassa in the framework of the SMILE projects. Their opinion:

"This trip has been useful since it enabled us to see a different approach of mobility management, in a different institutional and judicial context from the French framework. Moreover, it provided us with new elements regarding:

• the integration between urban planning and mobility,
• dialogue with citizens,
• interesting technological solutions."

"The most interesting parts were:

• The organisation of public spaces and their allotment per mode of transport in new housing developments,
• The organisation of pedestrians spaces in the city centre and the treatment of entrances / exits of parkings,
• The city's traffic management computer,
• The method of elaboration of the mobility plan and the public involvement."
